Happy Veterans Day

Happy bank holiday for me and, more importantly, a holiday that represents admiration and honor for all of our war veterans. I am extremely proud of my father who served in the U.S. Air Force. I appreciate all that our armed service men do, all the borders that they secure, all the sacrifices they make. I've recently read books about the Gulf War and the Vietnam War (i.e. Laura Harrington's Catalog of Birds), and I also have written about war in my own novel, Unrest: A Coming-of-Age Story Beneath the Alborz Mountains. To all our saviors, including my dad, my cousin Jason, and my friend Kathy, I appreciate you!
